I sat in that doctor’s office desperate for an answer, as if it would make everything better.

After temporarily losing her vision in her left eye, Patrycia was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2012.

Get up, get up Patrycia, just get up. All you have to do is get up.

I have to repeat this to myself almost every morning. There are days, months and even years that have been harder than others. I constantly have to remind myself to keep fighting; fighting to let go, fighting to accept, fighting to exercise, really, just fighting MS and all that comes with it. This is my life with MS. The good and the bad.

More than I ever planned.

It took a while for me to realize that life has a funny way of putting you right where you are supposed to be. Who I am today may not be the same as who I wanted to be, but I am who I am today because MS changed my path, and I chose to take the new path openly with a smile. MS has given me so many opportunities to meet people, do things and learn things that I never would have otherwise. I will admit, it has taken a while for me to realize that I need to focus on what MS has given me, not what it has taken away. I don't think anyone can ever say they love having MS. But I love what I have done despite having it. MS may have changed my plans, but I feel like my life is more than I ever planned.

Might as well have some fun doing it.

If we can ever have events again, this is where you will find them. In the meantime here are some to look back on.
